Hope you had a terrific weekend! Exciting if you wanted it that way and quiet if you wanted that way. For us, it was a quite weekend (our preference) because it is just too hot! 🥵

I am so glad I entered this challenge because I got out of my comfort zone in what colors to select for my card. During our last team meeting, my upline (Julie) asked to create a card using any card challenge out there and post it to the team page.

I used the single girl image from Coffee with Friends and colored it with the following colors:

Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the hair
Ivory Stampin’ Blends for the face and body
Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends for the top
Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends for the pants
Pool Party Stampin’ Blends for the flip flops

The sentiment is from the On the Horizon Stamp Set. It was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I used the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends (Light) for the stairs. To bring in a little femininity to the card, I added flowers from the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set. These were colored in with Bubble Bath for the flowers, Parakeet Party for the leaves and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the center of the flowers.

The background is from the Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. The 3 top layers (Parakeet Party, Bubble Bath and Basic White cardstock) were die cut using the Deckled Rectangle Dies. To complete the card, I added embellishments from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
