I never did get the video for my card “Playing in the Rain” uploaded. I finally ended going live on Facebook and then uploaded it Youtube. It turned out to be a lot easier than I imagined – so from now I will be going live every week on Thursdays. It will be posted to this blog on Friday or you can go to my Youtube Channel, or my Facebook Page or my Facebook Stamper’s Group.
I love the Coffee with Friends Stamp Set. It’s the perfect blend of sentiments and images for creations for your coffee-loving friends. It would also be perfect for National Coffee Day and National Girlfriend Day (1 August 2023). Or even Galentine’s Day, which is celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s is the unofficial holiday dedicated to ladies who love their besties.
The front of the base card (Basic White Thick Cardstock) was embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder and the front panel was embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder after I finished coloring it.
The main image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I then used the following stamping blends to color in the images:
- #1 girl
- Ivory for the skin
- Copper Clay (light and dark) for the hair
- Sweet Sorbet (light and dark) for the top
- Gray Granite (light and dark) for the pants and shoes
- #2 girl
- Ivory for the skin
- Daffodil Delight (light and dark) for the hair
- Balmy Blue (light and dark) for the top
- Gray Granite for the shoes
The bench was colored with the Crumb Cake Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends.
The sky was sponged with Balmy Blue Ink and a Blending Brush. The mountains were stamped with Pebble Path Ink and the image from the Oceanfront Stamp Set. The water was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink and an image from the Oceanfront Stamp Set. The grass was stamped with Garden Green Ink and an image from the Grassy Grove Stamp Set.
The same sentiment was used on the flap of the envelope and the inside of the card. The greenery is the same stamp used for the front of the card.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great day!
