Citrus Sunshine: Creating Beautiful Handmade Cards with Seasonal Inspiration

By | March 1, 2025

Hello my Stampin’ Friends!

Crafting with the Citrus Blooms Bundle today took me back to childhood visits to my relatives in Tulare, California. We would always return home with bags full of juicy naval oranges. I can still picture us sitting on our front steps, juice dripping down our chins as we savored those incredibly sweet fruits. Those oranges weren’t just refreshing—they were a taste of California sunshine that inspired this cheerful card design!

Citrus Blooms

Pack your creativity for a Mediterranean escape with the Citrus Blooms Bundle! Create refreshing card centerpieces by die-cutting the vibrant citrus stamps, or combine the lush greenery dies with delicate blossom stamps for designs that transition beautifully through all seasons. The versatile combination of citrus motifs, leafy elements, and uplifting sentiments makes this collection perfect for crafting thoughtful handmade treasures.

Today’s card features a Basic White Cardstock die cut background with a diamond lattice pattern, all mounted on a Pumpkin Pie Cardstock base. At the center of the card is a beautifully illustrated die cut orange fruit with Mossy Meadow leaves and delicate white blossoms from the Mediterranean Blooms 12″ x 12″ Design Series Paper (DSP) attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Small Pumpkin Pie Cardstock star embellishments are scattered around the design, adding playful accents.

The card includes a white banner (die cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies) at the bottom with Pumpkin Pie Ink script text that reads “YOU’RE THE best kind OF person.” The text uses a combination of uppercase block letters and flowing cursive script. A Basic White Twine bow adorns the upper left corner of the card, adding texture and dimension to the overall design.

A decorative touch of Pumpkin Pie Washi Tape with a cheerful star pattern adorns both the bottom edge of the card’s interior and the envelope flap, creating a cohesive design. For an extra flourish, I die-cut three delicate blossoms from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP and arranged them in the lower right corner of the inside panel, adding dimension and continuing the citrus theme throughout the entire card.

Becky – I lived in Goleta from about 1950 to 1957 off of Hollister Avenue. Small world!

If you mean the lattice background, that is a non SU item, but you can purchase the same die as part of the Linked Together Dies. The Linked Together Bundle is #164810 which includes the stamp set, dies and decorative masks and that sells for $54.50. LMK if I can help you with your order. Thanks!
