Chalk Talk

For today’s post, I’m combining the modern, edgy, grunge Chalk Talk Stamp Set with the Shabby Chic Look.

Love the combination of Crisp Cantaloupe with Soft Suede!  And I love, love our new Venetian Crochet Trim!

The flower is a Non-SU item but everything else is Stampin’ Up!.  The ribbon is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon which was dipped in a solution of Crisp Cantaloupe Reinker and water.  While it was still wet, I crumpled it up and set out to try.

The middle panel (Soft Suede) was embossed using the Beautiful Baroque Stampin’ Embossing Folder.  And the sentiment (from Chalk Talk) was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  I then punched it out using our Large Oval Punch.

I attached the ribbon and flower to the card using Crystal Effects because I wanted it to stay on permanently.  In this hot humid weather in our area, I’ve had flowers, bows and buttons fall off after a while.
