I Mustache You a Question

The 1st picture is the view I get when I sit at my computer.  The 2nd picture is my home back in Arkansas (it was 2 degrees outside!).  Now where would you rather be? I think this image from the Many Mustaches Stamp Brush Set is soooo cute!I used Basic Gray for the mustache and Pool Party for the words.  It was printed out on Whisper White Card Stock using… Read More »

Timeless – in 10 minutes!

When you’ve been making cards as long as I have, you learn to make a quick card in about 10 minutes.  Since the card was for an older gentleman (in his 80’s) who was recovering from a fall (broke his hip), I thought that I would make him a simple yet vintage card.   I printed out the vintage car from the Timeless Stamp Brush Set using My Digital Studio (love… Read More »

Simply Sketched

I’ve updated my “tutorials for sale” page so that it has all the tutorials I have for sale for the past six months.  Check it out!   Also, the clearance rack has been updated and I ordered the Artisan Embellishment Kit (3)  for myself.  Even though it is retired, I love the vintage items in the kit and will be using them for my birthday cards.  Click here to see the Clearance… Read More »

Shabby Chic

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a shabby chic card.   Since the background was printed using the My Digital Studio and the Music Notes Stamp Brush Set and Downtown Grunge Photobook template, technically, I guess it would be a shabby chic hybrid card! After printing it off, I tore the script down both sides so that I had a 2 inch length.  I adhered that to the musical notes background.  The… Read More »

Happy Birthday Gary

Today’s card is for my son-in-law, Gary.  I used a digital stamp I found at Digistamp Boutique.  I would have preferred to use something from Stampin’ Up! but there wasn’t anything that had hiking in it.  I chose the hiking image because next week he and his Dad are going to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro.  What an achievement and I am so proud of him! I printed out the image… Read More »

Peaceful Petals in Elegant Eggplant

So is everyone ready for football?  I’m cheering for the Broncos –  what team will you be cheering for?  Don’t forget to check out my Super Bowl Special on my previous post. This card is for a dear friend of mine (Rita) whom I’ve know since high school and we’ve kept in touch throughout the years.  When I was in CA for my 70th birthday, it was so nice to… Read More »

Need a cheerful card to brighten your day?

Nothing like a light and cheery card to brighten your day.  The sentiment “Sending Good Thoughts Your Way” in the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set is perfect to send someone that needs some cheering up! If you know me, you know I love floral paper and the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pack has one that reminds me of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper.  That DSP was a long time favorite of mine. Today’s card… Read More »

Tea Party

What’s more lovely than a cup of tea? The Tea Party Set!  It coordinates with the Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper and the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies.  I love the pitcher image in this stamp set.  It’s so quaint and elegant.  The flowers were colored with the Wisteria Wonder Stampin’ Write and  the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  The pitcher was colored using the Smokey Slate Stampin’ Write Marker. I used… Read More »

Winter Post

Here’s another card I was working on when I was in New Orleans One of the things I love about the My Digital Studio is that you can reduce the image to fit whatever area you want.  In this case, I wanted it small enough to fit the Chalk Talk Framelits.   The silver jingle bells are retired (from last year I think).  I dipped them in VersaMark Ink, then dipped them in… Read More »
