Simply Said

I'm working on a couple of projects that I can't talk about today – shhhhh – it's a surprise.  Stay tune for more information around the end of the month. I decided to make a very simple but elegant card for today's post.  I pulled out my poor neglected Simply Said stamp set and used the sentiment from it.  I like this sentiment and if I decide to sell my… Read More »

Thoughts and Prayers

I decided to make a simple card today.  As you can see, it doesn't include any embellishments other than the three half pearls. Also, you can't see it here but I scored a line all around the card (about 1/2 inch from the edges).   I inked up the image with Baja Breeze and then stamped it on Whisper White card stock.  The half pearls (baby blue) are from my local scrapbook… Read More »

Look Ma – no stamps!

Today's post includes a simple card I made in less than ten minutes.  The DSP is from Urban Oasis which is retiring 30 June.  No stamping is involved and it only has one layer.  The sentiment was computer generated. Though you can't see it,  I ran Kraft craft card stock through the Top Note Die and adhered it to the inside.  Thanks for visiting! To order 24/7 click here Recipe:… Read More »

Clearly Thanks

Stampin' Up!s printed window sheets offer beautiful designs that you can cut out and use on 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (my favorite size) card front.  The package includes 4 designs on 2 sheets with the images in Whisper White.  They make quick (and I mean quick!) simple but elegant cards.  It took all of five minutes to make today's card.  Just what you need when you find out you… Read More »

Great Grads

Today's card is for my grandson, Tanner.  I cannot believe he is graduating from the eighth grade and will be in high school next year.  Time flies by so fast! This is one of the stamp sets that will be retiring this year.   If you have been wanting this set and have not gotten around to purchasing it, now is the time to do it! The paper  I used for this… Read More »

Designer Embossing

Today's card uses a technique I saw in the latest issue of Stampin' Success (June 2009) called designer embossing.  Basically, you emboss on designer paper instead of card stock.  I used Old Olive Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper.  TIP:  Choose large images to emboss.  Small embossed images on a busy DSP may add a little more zing than you want! Dogwoods

I used the stamp Christmas Rose from a Christmas Cardinal Stamp Set to make my dogwoods.   Don't you think they look a little like dogwoods??  The dogwoods are out around our area and they are beautiful!  I was going to take some pictures to share but it's been raining – maybe tomorrow.  Recipe: Stamp Set:  Christmas Cardinal Paper:  Whisper White, Natural White, Certainly Celery Ink:  Black Stazon Accessories:  Stampin'… Read More »

Simple Flower

Today's card is using the Simple Flower Sizzix Embosslits and Sizzlits Little Leaves.  I am using Cameo Coral with Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper.   It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.  Cameo Coral is not a favorite of mine (I've used it perhaps twice since it first came out) but it was one of the colors in Raspberry Tart.  This Embosslits (Simple Flower) is turning… Read More »

Happy Everything

Need a masculine card?  Here's a simple one with the only stamping on it is the sentiment.  It took me perhaps 10-15 minutes to make it.  I like those kind of days! I think I will add a new category called "Simple Cards".  That way if you are ever looking for inspirations for quick and simple cards, you can use the search bar to find these cards.
