Designer Embossing

Today's card uses a technique I saw in the latest issue of Stampin' Success (June 2009) called designer embossing.  Basically, you emboss on designer paper instead of card stock.  I used Old Olive Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper.  TIP:  Choose large images to emboss.  Small embossed images on a busy DSP may add a little more zing than you want! Nature Silhouettes

I’m amazed what a difference it makes if you lightly spritz the card stock with water before running it through the Big Shot using one of the texturz plates.  Spritzing lightly with water makes a deeper impression on the card stock. Thoughts and Prayers

I hope everyone enjoyed their day today.  After a delicious brunch at Copeland's, I was ready for the sofa but decided to stamp instead.  Then I took a nap! I might with the special we are… Read More »

Happy Everything

Need a masculine card?  Here's a simple one with the only stamping on it is the sentiment.  It took me perhaps 10-15 minutes to make it.  I like those kind of days! I think I will add a new category called "Simple Cards".  That way if you are ever looking for inspirations for quick and simple cards, you can use the search bar to find these cards.
