Stay Wild

My team mate, Barbara Miller, and I challenge each other once a month to use a certain stamp set.  We alternate picking the stamp set and/or colors.  This month is was just the stamp set called Stay Wild. Though I used watercolor inks, I was able to use the Butter Cream Card Stock because I didn’t saturate the panel too much.  The mountains were made combining Dark Roast Silk and… Read More »

Goodbye to Wonderful Day

It’s time to say goodbye to another gorgeous stamp set Wonderful Day.  This is one of the first stamp set I purchased when I become a coach a year ago. The color for this card was decided when I came upon a piece of the Beach Ball Satin Ribbon.  It was left over from one of the bloom boxes (I think!). I stamped the image in Beach Ball Ink and… Read More »

Happy Birthday Cissy!

Today’s my granddaughter’s senior Prom and tomorrow is her birthday so I thought I’d make her a card that celebrated both very important occasions. I used a non FSJ stamp for Cissy’s card but everything else is Fun Stamper Journey products.  The print on her dress is from the retiring (and no longer available) Spring Filled Prints. I had so much fun making this card – I love to fussy… Read More »

Good Bye Tea Time

Day 3 of coloring with the Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils.  I am absolutely having so much fun coloring  with our pencils.  I tried it after looking at Shannon Smith’s video on coloring with watercolor pencils.  It’s where you brush the color from the pencil onto a acrylic block and then transfer it to the image.  It is blends so smoothly! I used the Tea Time Stamp Set Bundle for… Read More »

Dear Rose

This probably one of the most popular stamp sets from Fun Stampers Journey and it was one of the first one I purchased when I joined FSJ last year.  The set is called Dear Rose. The image was stamped with the Pretty Pansy Ink onto the Butter Cream panel.  The leaves were stamped with Green Olive Ink.  You can faintly see it but I scored a line around the card… Read More »

Vintage Poppy Days

One of my favorite kind of card is the vintage flowery card.  I love it when I can add lace or bows or any antique looking items such has hat pins – I love hat pins. I lightly sponged the background panel with the pink and yellow in the Confectionary Days Panpastels.  I then inked up the poppy from the Poppy Days Stamp Set and stamped with Bubble Gum Ink. … Read More »

Summer Rose

I’m running a contest where you guess which stamp sets are retiring from the 2017-2018 Fun Stampers Journey annual catalog.  You don’t have to guess all of them because the winner will be the one with the most accurate guesses!  See details here Today’s card features the Summer Rose stamp set.  I not only used it as a focal point but also as the background. The rose images in the… Read More »

Magical Uncorn

Today’s card features the adorable Magical Unicorn Stamp Set Bundle.  Since joining FSJ, I am loving their whimsical stamp sets.  They are just too cute! The unicorn was colored in using the Cool Pool Color Splash and a spritz of water.  The main and tail were colored in using Bubble Gum  Reinker and Pretty Amethyst Reinker.  Blend in using the Fusion Blender before applying to the mane and tail with… Read More »

Dance Life

Since my granddaughter, Rachel, is taking ballerina lessons I thought I would make her a card using the Dance Life Stamp Set.  It is one of my favorite stamp sets because it is so simple and elegant! The download listed below includes the instructions on how to make this card.   The modeling paste was fun to use – I felt like I was in school!   The only part… Read More »
