Soft Summer

Today's card includes one of the stamp sets that did not make it to the new Catalog. I've used this stamp set a lot but this is the first time I've used the two stamping technique.  I first stamped the outline image on Very Vanilla using Basic Brown.  I then colored in the solid stamp with Certainly Celery, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Markers.  I used… Read More »

Flock Together

Today's card was made using the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die on vellum paper. After I cut the flower out, I lightly inked up sections of the petals using an aqua painter and Tempting Turquoise just to give the embossed image some highlights.  I adhered the vellum to Flock Together DSP and then added the ribbon so that it covered up the adhesive.  This was then mounted on Tempting Turquoise… Read More »

Love You!

When I'm not feeling well, I really don't have the energy to come up with a good idea for a card.  So I decided to case this card from the catalog.  Well, it's not an exact case, I changed the placement of the main image and the pattern paper used. This card is so simple yet so elegant – it probably took me all of ten minutes to color in… Read More »

Flower, Daisy #2

Today's card uses one of the bigz dies (Flower, Daisy #2).  I really like this die especially when used with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper.   This paper is so beautiful with the colors Almost Amethyst, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Basic Gray I used So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Tea Party DSP to made the flower.   Then layered them alternating the Almost Amethyst, So Saffron and… Read More »

Heartfelt Thanks

I thought I'd make a card without the designer series paper (gasp!!!).  Yesterday when I was playing around with spritzing the card stock with water before feeding it through the texturz plates and Big Shot, I made one using the scrolls plate from the Texturz Backgrounds #1.  As you can see it came out really nice!  Or at least I hope you think it came out nice! After the card… Read More »

Upsy Daisy

The colors in the Sweet Always Designer series Paper are unusual but I like them.  Who would think that Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose would go together.  Though this looks like I used the rock 'n roll method, I did not!  I first inked up the image in Regal Rose, then carefully colored the tips of the flowers with the Pumpkin Pie marker. Recipe: Stamp Set:  Upsy Daisy Paper:  Whisper White, Pumpkin… Read More »

Soft Summer

I wasn't in the mood to stamp today but I did want to have a card for you.  I pulled out this image that I had colored several weeks ago.  The reason I didn't use it because I used the wrong color (should have used Bordering Blue instead Baja Breeze).  I inked up the brayer in Baja Breeze and added color to a piece of Au Chocolate DSP which was… Read More »

Fifth Avenue Floral

These flowers are addicting!  I was not one of the first one to buy this set, but after seeing all the beautiful cards everyone else was making, I knew I had to have it!  And I'm not sorry! This time I decided to try watercolor crayons.  I colored the main image in with the Perfect Plum crayon and then blended it in using a blender pen.  So much fun!  The pattern paper is… Read More »

Friends 24-7

I bet you are wondering where I got the gorgeous paper!  It is from the Au Chocolate DSP (retired) that I used yesterday.  The colors are Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla but I made it into Chcolate Chip and Regal Rose. I used the brayer and Regal Rose Classic ink giving it several coats.  I meant to take a picture of the piece of paper before I added the Regal… Read More »

Friends 24-7

Today was a very easy day for me.  The card on my other blog, Inspirations by Rachel, was made without any stamping.  This card includes some stamping but no coloring!  Yes!!! I love those kind of days. Recipe: Stamp Set: Friends 24-7 Paper:  Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Designer Series Paper Au Chocolate (retired) Ink:  Chocolate Chip Accessories:  Ivory Grosgrain Ribbon, Bigz Frame, Oval Scallop, Sponge, Flower from Michael's, Big Shot… Read More »
