Stitch Exotics

Today's post includes another of my favorite stamp sets that is retiring – Stitched Exotics.  I also used the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper which is also retiring as of 30 June 2009. Today's post is short – I had a class or rather two classes today and I'm pooped.  I just hope my customers enjoyed the classes as much as I did! Thanks for visiting To purchase any of… Read More »

Good By to Doodle This

It's like a I just discovered this stamp set!  I used it a lot when it first came out and then I somehow put it away and forgot about it.  I've used it several times recently when I discovered it was in the "Last Chance" List.  It does make the prettiest petals.  The designer paper is Sweet Slumber Designer Specialty Series Paper which is also retiring at the end of… Read More »

Teacher’s Pet

No, I don't think that but I wanted to catch your attention!  I did didn't I???  I made these small gifts for my grandchildren's teachers.  David is in the 4th  grade going into the 5th grade and Felicia is in the 3rd grade going into the 4th grade.  They attend year-round school so they get out later in the month than most schools.  The 19th is their last day. I… Read More »

Soft Summer

Today's card uses the lovely Soft Summer Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  In checking my stash of cards, I found out that I've used this stamp set at least 20 times!  I knew I loved this set, but I didn't realize I had used it that many times!  I decided to use the Taste of Textiles with Elegant Eggplant which had been embossed with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Textures… Read More »

Best Wishes

Another of my favorite DSP that is retiring -   although I did peeked at the new DSP in the new catalog and they are gorgeous!  I am definitely going to offer the 6 x 6 swap DSP on 1 July 2009 though it won't include 20 packages of DSP.  I'll do maybe ten packages of DSP because the paper is to die for! I used Chocolate Chip as the base card:… Read More »

Doodle This

It's time to say good by to an old and a new friend.  Today's card includes Doodle This and Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper –   both will retire on 30 June 2009.  I've had Doodle This since 2007 and I just recently purchased the Raspberry Tart DSP.   This paper is gorgeous and I don't know why I waited so long to buy it.  I haven't participated in a SCS challenge in… Read More »

Soft Summer

Today's card includes one of the stamp sets that did not make it to the new Catalog. I've used this stamp set a lot but this is the first time I've used the two stamping technique.  I first stamped the outline image on Very Vanilla using Basic Brown.  I then colored in the solid stamp with Certainly Celery, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Markers.  I used… Read More »

Flock Together

Today's card was made using the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die on vellum paper. After I cut the flower out, I lightly inked up sections of the petals using an aqua painter and Tempting Turquoise just to give the embossed image some highlights.  I adhered the vellum to Flock Together DSP and then added the ribbon so that it covered up the adhesive.  This was then mounted on Tempting Turquoise… Read More »

Love You!

When I'm not feeling well, I really don't have the energy to come up with a good idea for a card.  So I decided to case this card from the catalog.  Well, it's not an exact case, I changed the placement of the main image and the pattern paper used. This card is so simple yet so elegant – it probably took me all of ten minutes to color in… Read More »

Flower, Daisy #2

Today's card uses one of the bigz dies (Flower, Daisy #2).  I really like this die especially when used with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper.   This paper is so beautiful with the colors Almost Amethyst, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Basic Gray I used So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Tea Party DSP to made the flower.   Then layered them alternating the Almost Amethyst, So Saffron and… Read More »
