Three Little Words

Good morning stampers! Today's card also uses the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper.  This card was made for my stamp camp held on 18 November 2009.  I'll be showcasing the other cards from that same class in the next couple of days.  This card is very bright and cheerful and I never would have thought to put Summer Sum and Pink Passion but it works.  I pulled the colors from the DSP.  … Read More »

Soft & Elegant Bloomin’ Beautiful

When I saw this card on Stampin' Addicts, I knew that I would case it.  I did change a couple of things but it's basically the same layout, same colors.  The Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set is the perfect set for the soft elegant colors used on this card  I used retired colors Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss and the Designer Series Paper "Parisian Summer" also retired.  I wished I had… Read More »

Berry Christmas

Good Morning everyone.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  The weather in our area has been beautiful – doesn't seem like fall at all. I decided to make a card with a vase that is made from the ornament punch.  When the ornament punch first came out, I didn't want to purchase it because I didn't want to buy a punch I could only use once a year.  Then… Read More »

Great Friend

Today's post features the stamp set Great Friend.  Since I selected the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper as the background (I like it for its cheery bright colors), I felt it didn't need anything else except for the sentiment. A very quick and easy card to make.  Download a Printer Friendly Version of the Card Supplies and Directions: Great Friend 6 November 2009.pdf (218.2K) Thanks for stopping by!   To… Read More »

Bloomin’ Beautiful

I've had a head cold for several days now and have not really felt like stamping.  Today I decided to make a card that was bright and colorful.  I think I failed in the colorful but I liked the way it came out anyway (LOL)! I used a technique from Tami White that I saw recently.  Here is the video.   You need chipboard (I used On-Board Book Basics (Small)) and any embossing folder to get this look.  I used… Read More »

New Banner! and a matching card

Good Morning everyone! I decided to try and make a new banner using the MDS.  So what do you think – do you like????  I'll take the next couple of days to make the sidebar graphics and try to coordinate the colors. Does anyone know where I can find out what the numbers for the colors, i.e., Perfect Plum.  I'd like to change the color of the text. I also… Read More »

Autumn Days

I bet when I told you I was working on an Autumn Days card, you thought I was working on a fall or Autumn card.  Surprise!  Here's the one I was working on: I decided to go for the bold look and picked the colors Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede.  Are they pretty together?  The DSP is Thoroughly Modern and the stamp set is Autumn Days.  The ribbon is the Bermuda… Read More »

Gretchen Barron has started featuring a card sketch on her blog every Thursday.  I decided to participate in her first challenge.  Here's the sketch Here's my card I used Perfect Plum Patterns Designer Series Paper; the color theme was Perfect Plum and Whisper White – not quite monochromatic.  The main image was stamped in Black Stazon, colored with a blender pen and Perfect Plum Classic Ink (for the lighter shade)… Read More »
