Step away from the flower

Good Morning Stampers Today's card features the retiring Ruby Red card stock (one of my all time favorites). This is one of the flowers that we made at the New Techniques class last week.  I made this card for it because very flower needs a home whether it's a 3d project or a card.  Isn't that right? Anyhoo, when my husband picked up the card, he squashed the flower down (gasp!!!)… Read More »

Bold & Bright Petal Pizzazz

Good Morning Stamper Hope you are enjoying your long weekend.  I'm using Petal Pizzazz for today's card and that stamp set just screams bold colors!  I decided to use Melon Mambo and Old Olive together with Whisper White being the predominate color. Melon Mambo is such a pretty color and I'm glad that it is staying on as one of the core colors.  I love to combine it with Old… Read More »

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Good Morning Stampers    We are at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, MO and today it's a beautiful day!   As I mentioned in a post a couple of days ago, Ron and Linda (David's brother and sister in law) were visiting us last week.  David wanted to send  Ron his favorite Chicken Soup Recipe and I a card to Linda so I decided to make matching cards!  They are identical in colors only.  They both use… Read More »

A little Love and Happiness!

Good Morning Stampers:  The simple lines and lack of embellishments makes this card the perfect candidate for my Simple Sunday post.  Well almost lack of embellishments.  I've added a couple of rhinestones. The rubons are called Love and Happiness but they are retired but please don't ask me when.  I have a drawer full of rubons that I've purchased from Stampin' Up! over the years but for some reason forget to… Read More »

Dazzling Butterfly

Good Morning Stampers! I saw the most beautiful butterflies and cards on one of the forums the other day made by Sharon Field and decided to case one of her cards. I really like the way this came out.  Here's a close up of the butterfly but the camera does not do it justice.  It is so pretty IRL.  I think it's absolutely gorgeous!  Thanks Sharon for your inspiration! Thanks for stopping by today… Read More »

A Kind Word

Good Morning Stampers Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Because today is Mother's Day, I felt nostalgic and I pulled out this stamp set because it reminds me of my youngest daughter when she was about 5 or 6.   Where does the time go? This is the inside of the card.  Most of the time I leave the sentiment off because I want to be able to just grab a card… Read More »

Trio Flower Punch Art

Good Morning Stampers This is a first for me!  I usually don't do punch art but I decided to try it after seeing someone and I can't remember who (sorry) make flowers using the small flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes punches from the Summer Mini Catalog.  I thought I can do that using the Trio Flower Punch! So what do you think?  Do you like it?  I decided to… Read More »

The Unparalled Beautify and History of the Yellow Rose

Good Morning Stampers Yellow roses speak of springtime, renewal and friendship. As a color of enduring friendship, faithful attention and devotion, yellow roses are a perfect choice to send to newlyweds, graduates and new mothers. Yellow roses have always been my favorite – I love to receive them no matter the occasion.  The inspiration for today's card came from a rose bush that my husband bought me last week and transplanted… Read More »
