Good Bye Tea Time

Day 3 of coloring with the Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils.  I am absolutely having so much fun coloring  with our pencils.  I tried it after looking at Shannon Smith’s video on coloring with watercolor pencils.  It’s where you brush the color from the pencil onto a acrylic block and then transfer it to the image.  It is blends so smoothly! I used the Tea Time Stamp Set Bundle for… Read More »

Good Bye Love Paris

Every time I use the Love Paris Stamp Set, the song “I love Paris) comes into my head.  It is one of my favorite sets and it’s retiring! (see details below) I cased this from a card I saw on Pinterest.  I say cased but I did change a couple of things to make it my own.  The River Stone Card Stock was embossed with the Love Letter Embossing Folder… Read More »

Vintage Poppy Days

One of my favorite kind of card is the vintage flowery card.  I love it when I can add lace or bows or any antique looking items such has hat pins – I love hat pins. I lightly sponged the background panel with the pink and yellow in the Confectionary Days Panpastels.  I then inked up the poppy from the Poppy Days Stamp Set and stamped with Bubble Gum Ink. … Read More »

Stay Sassy

The dictionary describes “Sassy” as lively, bold, and full of spirit; cheeky.  And that’s exactly what these images are!  The Stay Sassy Stamp Set makes a perfect card for teenage girls or when you want to send out a word of encouragement. Today’s card uses the Shaving Cream Technique using the Pool Play Reinker and, of course, shaving cream. I also did the paper piecing technique and cut the dress… Read More »

A Better Place

One of the hardest cards for me to make is the sympathy card.  Usually you wait until something happens and then you struggle with making the right one.  Having a supply on hand is a good idea and will save you a lot of stress.  Sending a handmade card gives it that special touch and shows the receiver that you care. For today’s card, I chose the A Better Place… Read More »
