Happy Anniversary Stephanie and David

Hi Stampin' Friends! Another beautiful day in the neighborhood!  Love, love this weather.  Hope you are having nice weather where you live. I made this card for my daughter and son-in-law.  Yes, his name is David (same as my husband).  They even have the same initials (DB)! This is more my style than Stephanie's style.  She likes clean and simple, I like shabby chic.  But I think she will like this… Read More »

Adios Simply Soft and Beau Chateau

Hi Stampin' Friends It's another beautiful weekend in our part of the woods.  I love it!  Though I did hear from one of my downline (Hi Valerie!) that she received some snowflakes today so it's not spring everywhere and certainly not in the north part of the US. I'm using the two step Simply Soft Stamp Set one last time before it retires on Thursday, 31 May 2012.  I'm also using… Read More »

Sneak Peek – Oval Accents

Hi Stampin' Friends Today's card showcases one of the new dies in the 2012/2013 Catalog called Bigz Clear Oval Accent  Die.   It coordinates with the new Forever with You Stamp Set (page 132 of the new catalog). Like the framelits dies, it's clear so you can see where you are placing the die on the card stock.  For the background, I used the Everyday Enchante DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog with Poppy… Read More »

Summer Afternoon – Petite Purse

Hi Stampin' Friends It's a beautiful weekend in Northwest Arkansas.  I hope you are having pleasant weather. It's been such a nice spring this year. Well, I finally finished the petite purse – not that it was that hard to make but I had to redo it a couple of times because I kept making dumb mistakes.  The ladies will be making the purse at Jane's private class on Monday… Read More »

Sneak Peek – Summer Afternoon

Hi Stampin' Friends I was a bad girl and gone for most of the day so I didn't get a chance to finish up the petite purse 3D project.  I do have a card to show you that the ladies will be making at the Big Shot Class on Friday, 25 May 2012.  I again used the Comfort Cafe DSP (love, love it!!!) and the Hostess Stamp Set called Summer… Read More »

Adios Faith in Nature

Hi Stampin' Friends! It's time to say goodbye to the  Faith in Nature Stamp Set.  I've always liked this stamp set because of its simplicity.  I decided to make two cards using two of images in the set.  I used the pear in one coloring it with the So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker for the pear and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker for the leaves. I also used the Framed… Read More »

Layered Labels

Hi Stampin' Friends I am so excited to give you a sneak peek at one of the new stamp sets from the 2012/2012 Catalog!  It's called Layered Labels.  And no I did not have to cut it out because there is a corresponding package of dies called Framelits, Apothecary Accents.    The dies in this group were designed to cut images from World Treasures (another new stamp set) and the… Read More »

Adios Simply Soft

Hi Stampin' Friends! The Simply Soft Stamp Set  was used for today's post.   It's retiring on 31 May 2012 so if you like it, you'll have to place a qualifying order for it – you cannot purchase it because it's a hostess stamp set.  It's one of my favorie sets and I will be sorry to see it go. The lovely Simply Soft Stampin' Rewards exclusive stamp set is ideal for… Read More »

Adios Beau Chateau!

Hi Stampin' Friends I love, love the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper and decided to use it for today's card.  I'll miss it but I am sure that Stampin' Up! will have some equally gorgeous new DSP for us to drool over!  Even though the coordinated color, Marina Mist, was listed in the catalog, I decided to use Baja Breeze because it seem to match a lot better. The pearls… Read More »

Adios Take it to Heart or maybe not!

Hi Stampin' Friends Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Today's post features the Take it to Heart Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini.  I hope this one makes into the big catalog – keeping my fingers crossed! You know when looking for ideas on cards, you don't have to go any further than the big catalog or even the mini catalogs.  This card was inspired by the Take it… Read More »
