Blessed Easter

The Blessed Easter Stamp is simple but beautiful and lends itself to watercoloring!  The flower was colored in using an Aqua Painter and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink.  The leaves and stem were colored in using Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.I dusted off the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and used it for the background the Blessed Easter Stamp.   The base card is Wisteria Wonder Card Stock.  The girls will love making this… Read More »

I Mustache You a Question

The 1st picture is the view I get when I sit at my computer.  The 2nd picture is my home back in Arkansas (it was 2 degrees outside!).  Now where would you rather be? I think this image from the Many Mustaches Stamp Brush Set is soooo cute!I used Basic Gray for the mustache and Pool Party for the words.  It was printed out on Whisper White Card Stock using… Read More »

Banner Blast

Today’s the last day for the Weekly Deals for 11-18 Feb 2014.  One of my favorites is the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  I made the shabby chic card below using this beloved embossing folder.  It is very versatile – you don’t just have to use it for the modern type cards, it can be anything from clean and simple to shabby chic.  Other ways I’ve used it for cards  are listed… Read More »

Happy Birthday Gary

Today’s card is for my son-in-law, Gary.  I used a digital stamp I found at Digistamp Boutique.  I would have preferred to use something from Stampin’ Up! but there wasn’t anything that had hiking in it.  I chose the hiking image because next week he and his Dad are going to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro.  What an achievement and I am so proud of him! I printed out the image… Read More »

This card is for a dear friend of mine (Rita) whom I’ve know since high school and we’ve kept in touch throughout the years.  When I was in CA for my 70th birthday, it was so nice to… Read More »

Get Well

Today’s card is for a friend who had heart surgery.  We’ve known him over 40 years and I wanted something to make him laugh. This image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I didn’t do a lot of coloring to the image – just colored the hair with Smokey Slate, colored the polka dots on the gown with Marina Mist and shaded around the uniform with Smokey Slate. The banner is from… Read More »

The Cards You Hate To Make

When you want to express sympathy or make an apology, a handmade card can be just the thing for conveying your most heartfelt feelings.  I used the sentiment “so sorry” from the So Sorry Stamp Set and because I wanted to keep it very simple, I kept the card to one layer and used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder to give it some dimension and textured.  I keep saying I need… Read More »
