Pocket Silhouettes

I'm sure you've seen variations of this card lately – I got the inspiration from LNS who was inspired by someone on SCS – I didn't write down the names – sorry!  Edited to include the names of the original artists:  They are Melissa Riker from LNS and Ali Watson from SCS.  Thanks for the inspiration!   I wanted to participate in this week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts and I thought this… Read More »

Voila

I had so much fun making this card.  I love this set because it's like playing with paper dolls!  You can put any kind or any color of coat on the chef; and of course his hat has to match. The paper is the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini.  The chef's jacket and hat were paper-pieced using the Christmas Cocoa specialty DSP.  The sentiment is from Christmas… Read More »

Scenic Season

It's 90 degrees outside, I'm playing James Blunt "You're Beautiful" on my IPOD and I'm making Christmas Cards!  Life does not get better than this!  Today's card is for my Christmas in July class on 2 September 2009. This card is cased from the catalog (page 35).  I changed a couple of things, i.e., ribbon is different and the sentiment is a different color than the trees.  At the Christmas… Read More »

Snow Swirl

It's hot and humid outside yet I'm making Christmas card while listening to Willie sing "Help me make it through the night".  I should be playing Christmas music but I love Willie and the music he sang during the 1970's and 1980's. This card is for the Christmas in July class scheduled for Wednesday, 29 July 2009.  I have a couple of openings so if you live in the Northwest… Read More »
