For Brayden

This card is for Brayden Jones, a courageous little boy who has been diagnosis with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Brayden is the grandson of one of my customers and new friend.  For his story, please click here. I just finished reading his story for the 2nd time and it's unbelievable how fast he became sick.  I have a grandson about that age and I cannot begin to imagine what the whole… Read More »

Onesy

I had already started working on this card when the brown man rang the doorbell.  It was my long awaited and much anticipated goodies from SU.  I had to contain myself as I went through the box and then laid the goodies carefully aside while I finished my card!  But I promise, I'll have a card for you tomorrow using some of the new stamps, perhaps Flower Fancy or Autumn… Read More »

Animal Stories

Today's post starts the first day of the Blog-a-day contest at Business Stampers Coaching Group.  It's a month long contest where you have to post everyday from 20 July to and including 20 August 2009.  I have to put in a plug for John's Business Stampers Coaching Group because  I have gotten so much out of it since I started in February. The Business Stampers Coaching Group is designed to… Read More »

Animal Stories by Cissy

I don’t have a card for you today but my granddaughter Felicia does! She is using the stamp set Animal Stories and the DSP Tall Tales. Every time she comes over she wants to use my stamps and paper.  She fell in love with this stamp set but another favorite one of hers is the stamp set From the Crypt.  It’s not something I would ordinarily use but I… Read More »

A Kind Word

I cannot believe I am making this card for my granddaughter, Sydney, so far in advance.  Her birthday isn't until  13 September.  I'm usually rushing around making a card and trying to get it in the mail before her birthday!  I love these two little girls from a Kind Word and they are perfect for my 10 year old granddaughter. I decide to use Parisian Breeze DSP which retired last month… Read More »

Animal Stories

This has got to be one of the cutest stamp sets from Stampin' Up! in a long time!  I love this stamp set and my preference is usually the flowery ones.  All the images are cute from the Giraffe to the Elephant to the Whale to the Owl (which I think is a cat!). I used the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper with Brilliant Blue and Old Olive card stock. … Read More »

A Kind Word

These two little girls are so cute – they are from the A Kind Word Stamp Set.  It's a beautiful day today and I thought a perfect day to swing under a tree.  Of course, I don't have a swing now but I can dream.  The kind of swing I had when I was growing up was a tire tied to a rope and that was a lot of fun!  What… Read More »

Girl Silhouette

This card was so much to make.  I saw the paper at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago and  bought some not knowing how I was going to use it but I had to have it (KWIM?).  I took it out this morning and thought that a silhouette would be perfect for it.  If I had the SU stamp set Silhouettes (retired), I would have used it but alias I… Read More »

Little Piano Girl

This stamp is from The Saturday Evening Post Series at Cornish Heritage Farms.  It's called Little Piano Girl.  The gorgeous paper is from Webster's Pages and is called Purple Majesty.  I messed up on coloring the little gir's dress so I thought I would cover my mistake by paper piecing her dress using the same Purple Majesty paper. Recipe: Stamp:  Little Piano Girl from the Saturday Evening Post series… Read More »
