Oh la la

I saw a card by  Kayleen Clements using a corset template a couple of weeks ago and knew I would be making it as soon as I could.  Here it is. I used the  Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper for the corset because I liked the pattern.  I used the oval scallop punch (cut in half) for the frills at the bust line and the legs.  To get the holes even… Read More »

Guest Stamper – Dorothy Conrardy

Today's guest stamper is Dorothy Conrardy.  Dorothy has been stamping for several years and became one of my customers about 3 years ago.  She is very creative and makes the most beautiful cards. About a week ago, I sent out a request for directions on how to make a Geisha girl out of punches.  This request was not for me but for Dorothy.  She had seen a picture of one… Read More »

Look Ma, no stamps!

Today's card is for the Late Night Stampers weekly challenge #29.  The challenge is to make a pink and black card. I decided to drag out my retired rub-ons.  This one is called Cherished Memories and retired from the last catalog.   Did you noticed that I did not use one little piece of pattern paper.  That was so unusual for me!  To download the card instructions:  Download Pink & Black… Read More »

Inspired by Nature

Today's card includes Splitcoast Stampers' Monday Challenge (Try a New Technique).  It's TLC229 hosted by Lynn in St Louis.  The challenge was to make a card using the faux grid technique.  You can get all the directions here.  I tried taking a picture with the white background but the picture seemed washed out so I decided to try a black background.  What do you think? Thanks for stopping by and see… Read More »

Country Morning

This stamp set is called Country Morning and it's a Hostess Level 1 Stamp Set.  I decided to use the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper even though it's retired because the checkered pattern in that pack looks so country. The main image and the sentiment are both stamped on Naturals Ivory using the Brown Stazon Ink.  I colored in the rooster using Ruby Red, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard,… Read More »

Stamp-a-ma-jig

I belong to the Business Stampers Coaching Group and one of our challenges was to write a post about an essential stamping tool.  I selected the Stamp-a-ma-jig because I think it's the most misunderstood tool in the catalog. I was at first intimidated by this tool but the more I use it the more I am comfortable with it.  I have to say that I love this tool.  I've owned… Read More »

Independence day

Today's card is for this week's challenge on Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers' forum to make a card using one of the retiring stamp sets.  I selected Independence day. I didn't have pattern paper that had the 4th of July theme so I thought I'd make my own.   I stamped one of the stars from the stamp set in Whisper White Craft Ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing… Read More »
