Blooming with Kindness

Hi Stampin’ Friends

I wanted to share the only picture I have that was taken during my birthday party.  It is of the 4 Rachel’s in our family.  It is not a good picture because my granddaughter would not get out of the pool and dry off to take the picture.  Oh well!

For today’s card, I decided to go shabby chic and use the sentiment from the Blooming with Kindness Clear Mount Stamp Set.  I love the font used on the sentiments in the stamp set.

I used the retired Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder on the background.  The strip of paper is from the This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper and The base card is So Saffron Card Stock.

The sentiment was stamped and then die cut using the new Chalk Talk Framelits Die using our new Big Shot Magnetic Platform – love it.  It saves me the trouble of taping the framelits to the card stock so that they don’t slip.  Thank you Stampin’ Up! I used the retired Color Spritzer Tool and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Maker to splatter ink on the sentiment.  I learned of a new way to use splatter on card which I will post tomorrow.  The roses were made using a non-SU mini rose die cut.  Check out this video to see how they are made.

The line around the sentiment was made using the Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.  I lightly traced around the inside of the framelit — the magnetic board held it in place with no problem!
