Bloomin’ Beautiful!

Good Morning Stampers

Opener

I made today's card for the Stampin' Up! Featured Stamper Challenge (TSSC87) on Stampin' Connection.  This weeks featured stamper is Mary Jo Price-Williams and the challenge is to case one of her cards and change a couple of  things.  Are you familiar with her cards?  They are simply gorgeous – all of them!   Here is the card I cased:

TSSC87

And here is my card

Bloomin'-Beautiful copy

 Flower
The image was stamped on watercolor paper with Jet Black Stazon.   I then stamped the flower part a second time on a scrap piece of watercolor paper.  I colored both images with Stampin' Write Markers and an aqua painter.  The flower image was cut out with paper snips and attached to the main image with Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3D effect.

BeeThe bee was also stamped with Jet Black Stazon and colored in with So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker.  I added Iridescent Ice to the wings.  I then cut it out and attached it to the side of the flower with a Stampin' Dimensional.

The layer next to the base card was run through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder.  I just love the latest folder from Stampin' Up!  It is so spring like!

Border I used the decorative Scallop Trim Border Punch (which is FREE during the Sale-a-Bration promotion) on the bottom of both layers to give a dainty lacy look.

Two promotions ending on 31 March 2010:

Your purple version is so pretty. Love the bee’s wings.

We must be on the same wavelength–I made a card last night using the same two colors, but my card base and layer were reversed.
