Hi Crafty Friends!
I’m so excited to share this elegant gate fold birthday card featuring the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (DSP)! The vintage winter street scene creates such a peaceful, nostalgic feeling, and the gate fold design adds an extra touch of sophistication. The soft gray tones paired with the rich Real Red base give it a classic, timeless look.

With the Beautiful Gallery DSP already on my desk, I decided to create another masculine card. I have six male family members with January and February birthdays, so I can always use more masculine card designs!
I created this masculine birthday card using the Beautiful Gallery DSP which features a beautiful vintage winter street scene in soft grays and blacks. The nostalgic illustration shows bare trees lining a snowy street with old buildings in the background, giving it a timeless, classic feel that’s perfect for men’s cards.
I designed the card with a side-step fold, which adds visual interest and dimension. The DSP is matted on Real Red cardstock and mounted on a Basic Black card base, creating a striking frame that makes the vintage scene pop. I kept the greeting simple with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment stamped on a small banner, allowing the beautiful paper to be the star of the design.
The side panel echoes the main image, featuring another section of the same DSP to create continuity throughout the card. I added small black enamel dots as subtle embellishments that complement the vintage aesthetic without overwhelming it. This card works perfectly for those January and February birthdays I have coming up!

I added a narrow strip of the Beautiful Gallery DSP to the right side of the card’s interior for a coordinated look. For a finishing touch, I embossed the envelope flap using the Old World Papers 3D Embossing Folder, which perfectly complements the vintage aesthetic of the card front.
