A Touch of Pine & Rhinestones: Crafting Nature-Inspired Cards

By | October 29, 2024

Hello My Stampin’ Friends!

Hope you had a nice weekend! Our visitor left on Monday, and while he was here, we explored many local attractions since there’s so much to see in this beautiful part of Arkansas. Though we loved having him, we’re happy to be alone again and back to our regular routine. I hope I’m not the only one that feels this way!

Looking at my latest fun fold handmade card creation using the Golden Greenery Bundle, I’m really pleased with how this came out. I started with a textured background using Stampin’ Up!’s Season of Green and Gold Designer Series Paper that has this gorgeous deep green distressed pattern. Along the left side, I added a coordinating decorative panel featuring a beautiful botanical print with delicate white berries and olive-toned foliage.

For the main focal point, I die-cut several Mossy Meadow Cardstock and Vellum Cardstock pine branches. I stamped the leaves with Old Olive and Garden Green Ink, cut them with the coordinating dies and arranged them in a loose spray behind an oval tag. The tag itself was cut with a decorative pierced edge, from the Unbounded Love Dies, and I hand-stamped “just for you” in Mossy Meadow. To add some festive sparkle, I included red rhinestones clustered like berries among the foliage.

To finish the design, I tied a natural twine bow, from the retired Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim, at the base of the oval tag, which adds a rustic touch to the elegant design. I love how this card strikes a balance between formal and natural elements, making it perfect for any special occasion throughout the winter season.

To complete this cohesive design, I carried the stunning botanical paper through to both the card’s interior and envelope flap. This thoughtful touch creates an elegant, unified presentation from start to finish.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  I hope today’s card design inspires your own Stampin’ Up! projects.
