Elements of Style and blog candy

By | October 24, 2010

Hi Stampers

Opener

I must be in a water-coloring mood since today's card just lends itself to water-coloring.  I selected Elements of Style because I wanted to take a break from Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.  I love this stamp set because of the vintage blooms, birds and flourishes.

Elements-of-Style copy
I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Basic Black Classic Inkand then water-colored it with an aqua painter using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and So Saffron for the middle of the flower.  As you can see I got a little carried away with the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz but I love the way it  turned out.

The ribbon is the 1/2" Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The pattern paper is Love Letter Designer Series Paper.

And now I think it's time for some more blog candy.  Just leave a comment on my blog telling me what is your #1 Stampin' Up! item on your Christmas Wish list.  I'll select a winner via random.org and announced it here on my blog on 1 November 2010.  You have until 7 November to claim your prize.  If you haven't contact me by then, I'll select another winner.  US residents only please

The prize is 6 x 6 sheets of retired designer series paper.  It's all from within the last two years.
