Elements of Style

Hi Stampers

Opener
You know how sometimes when you made a decision and then wonder if it was the right decision?  Well, in this case it was.  I signed up for Leadership the first day of registration available to me as a manager.  I then came down with pneumonia and as the transfer deadline approached, I was still recovering from pneumonia.  I decided on the last day to transfer and was able to transfer to my registration to a demonstrator in California.  It made her so happy and of course, I was pleased.

Now that leadership is upon us, I am so glad I made the decision not to attend because I am now recovering from bronchitis.  I'm grateful that my registration did not go to waste and that someone was able to take advantage of it.  Have fun at leadership Gina!  I'll be there next year!

Elements-of-Style copy
Today's card used the Elements of Style Stamped Brush Set – Digital Download.  I decided to use the MDSbecause I wanted a slightly larger image of both the roses and the sentiment.

The image and sentiment were printed out in Chocolate Chip  on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  I then cut it down to the size I wanted and colored in the images using Stampin' Write Markers.  The left hand lower corner was embossed using the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I'm making a video on how to just get the corner embossed and will post it in a couple of days.

Tip:  I usually let the image set for about an hour before I start coloring it in.  I haven't had any problems with the ink smearing when I let it set.

The image was spritzed with Chocolate Chip using the Color Spritzer Tool.  It's been layered with Chocolate Chip Card Stock.  The base card is Pink Pirouette Card Stock which has been embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

This is BEAUTIFUL! I need to get some of those Digis! One tip, if you ever want to color right away…I always heat set my digis after printing with the heat gun. Works like a dream and I can even watercolor right away! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous card!

I kept staring at the picture of this amazing card and was wondering how you did the corner embossing. I finally read your post and am thrilled you will be doing a video. I love the look of your corner image and sentiment along with the corner embossing. Beautiful design.

Glad everything worked out re Leadership and that you are feeling better.
