Off we go into the Wild Blue Yonder!

Off we go into the wild blue yonder.  Climbing high into the sun…..

Opener
I cannot get that song out of my head!  Today's card features the Plane and Simple Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I sure hope this makes it into the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalog because I love the antique images in this set and we have so few masculine stamps.

Whether it's for a birthday card, Father's Day card or any masculine occasion, this stamp set will is appreciated by the men in your life especially if they have a sense of adventure and love all things aviation.

Rachel's Tips:

  • To get a darker image, use a craft ink; in this case, I used the Basic Black Craft Ink Pad.  The sentiment was stamped using the Basic Black Classic ink Pad.
  • To give the card some texture use one of the embossing folder.  In this case the Square Lattice Texture Impressions Folder was used.
  • If you are looking for interesting borders, try the rickrack from the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die.  The die has several different trims from scallops to rickrack.

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you like this card, please leave me a comment and tell me.  I love hearing from you!

This card absolutely speaks to me, Rachel. Something about the tasteful trim rick-rack and the embossing folder just add the perfect touches and balance to this card. I’m looking at that stamp set with new eyes….
