Plant Hope

By | April 28, 2011

Hi Stampers

Opener
I meant to show this card on Earth Day but I forgot!  The image is from the Plant Hope Stamp Set from the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog.  I love the sentiment that goes with it – He who plants a tree, plants hope.

The tree is image is te Bonsai Tree.  Bonsai is a Japanese art form using miniature trees grown in containers.

Plant-Hope copy
The image was colored in using Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker for the leaves and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markerfor the trunk.  Because I wanted a light color for the pot, I colored it in using a Blender Pen and the Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad.  I used the Color Spritzer Tool with Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker to give the main focal point an airbrushed look.

The paper is the Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Love this paper – it's full of vintage and nature designs.  You will not be able to purchase this DSP after 30 April 2011.  So if you want some, be sure and order it before then.

I finished off the card with the Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon and an Antique Brad to give it a vintage look.

Thanks for stopping by today

~~Rachel
