Today’s card is a pop-up card using the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die. The Lost Lagoon Card Stock was cut to 6 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. The All Is Calm Designer Series Paper was also cut to 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I adhered these two together and then cut it using the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die. The die also gives you two score lines – use the bone folder to give it a sharp crease.
I used the medium snowflake to die cut the Silver Glimmer Paper and small snowflake to die cut the Lost Lagoon Card Stock. They were attached to the large snowflake.
I added a small rhinestone to the center of the snowflake.
I’ve included a video from Stampin’ Up! (see below) that shows you how to make and put the snowflake together. It’s really simply!
Note: I recommend Tombow Adhesive for adding the Lost Lagoon Card Stock to the Silver Glimmer Paper.
Here’s a picture of the card front and back without the fold.
To make the band (keeps the card closed), I cut a strip of All IS Calm Designer Series Paper 1″ x 8 3/4″ and wrapped it around the card. The extra 1/4 gives you the necessary overlap to adhere the ends together.
The sentiment Joy is one of the smaller die cuts in the set. I’ve included a picture of everything you get in the set.
Note: Always use wax paper when using smaller die cuts – believe me, I learned the hard way!
It’s easy to add movement to your holiday cards when you use the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies. This video will show you how to use the dies to create a fun moveable card for holiday cards and invitations.
