Stampers
Today's card is a hybrid masculine Happy Birthday Card. I wanted a bold look to it with strong robust colors.
I decided to use Engrave Greeting Stamp Brush Set: a six-piece stamp brush set including overlays. Love the bold look with the vintage style.
I paired it with Nautical Expendition Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalog and used the colors Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.
The sentiment was printed out using the My Digital Studio on Naturals White Card Stock. It was layered with both Early Espresso Card Stock and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock.
The top half of the card was embossed with the new Stripes Folder. The bottom half is the Nautical Expedition DSP.
I added a brad from the Neutrals Collection and Natural Hemp Twine to give it a sort of country look.

I love your beautiful masculine card! Beautiful layering and textures.
I think my favorite masculine set is still “Lovely As A Tree”.I’ve had that set for over 10 years and I still reach for it when I want to make a manly card. I especially love the oak tree image because of the symbolism of strength that it evokes. I just love it:-)
Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win this awesome blog candy!
Inky hugs,

I really loved Plane and Simple from the mini occasions. I’m now looking for a new one, but I’m loving masculine cards with Well worn dsp!
thanks so much Rachel!

The best ever masculine stamp is The Open Sea — which I am hoping will make it in the next IB&C (sometimes SU will still bring back additional Summer Mini product in the next one). I think we should all send e-mails asking for them to keep this set. Thanks for the offering the blog candy Rachel!!

I’ll go with the Open Sea also. But I also like sail away. Both are great.
Ah . . . what a question! I do love the nautical stamp and paper, but, we are not near a body of water, so doesn’t really work for a male card. I find making male cards so difficult! I like Lovely as a Tree and would LOVE if they made it in the new clear stamps – one can always hope! I’m currently looking at Young Vermillion and am thinking it could be worked up into some neat male cards. Thanks for all your inspiration and the chance to win some candy!
