Shabby Chic

By | February 12, 2014

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a shabby chic card.   Since the background was printed using the My Digital Studio and the Music Notes Stamp Brush Set and Downtown Grunge Photobook template, technically, I guess it would be a shabby chic hybrid card!

butterflyAfter printing it off, I tore the script down both sides so that I had a 2 inch length.  I adhered that to the musical notes background.  The next layer is the paper lace doily which was sponged lightly with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  The butterfly was die cut using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.  I used the paper lace doily so that the butterfly which have lacy wings!  The wings were then lightly sponged using Crumb Cake classic Ink.

I used Linen Thread for the first bow and then Very Vanilla 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon for the top bow.  The flower is one I’ve had forever and finally found a use for!  The flower was lightly sponged with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.

The button are from the Very Vintage Designer Buttons and the base card is Very Vanilla Card Stock.
