This is not your quick and easy card!

128490LYou can’t beat the number and variety of birthday feel-good greetings waiting to surprise and inspire your creativity packed in the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set.  There is something for everyone from whimsical to elegant!

And because I wanted to make a spring-like shabby chic card, I decided to use the elegant “Birthday Wishes” from this set.  This is definitely the “go to” set for your birthday greetings.  I also chose Soft Sky Card Stock and Pink Pirouette Card Stock for that light airy feeling.

The edges of the Whisper White Background and Pink Pirouette Tag were distressed using the Stampin’ Distress Tool.  I also added a Tea Paper Lace Doily and embossed strip of Whisper White Card Stock using the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder for a fussy look.

Like in the title of this post – this is not your quick and easy card!

The rose were made using our new and fabulous Spiral Flower Die but because I wanted a smaller rose, I decided to trim it down.  As you can see from the picture, I cut it in half and used the smaller part of the spiral flower.  I also trimmed about 1/8″ off the width of the flower.

I used the bone folder to break down the fibers in the card stock so that it would curl a lot more easier.

The pink flower was made using the Pink Pirouette Card stock and the white flowers were made Whisper White Card Stock that was sponged on the ends with Pink Pirouette Classic Ink.  I also used Hot Glue instead of Liquid Glue because it was a lot easier and the hot glue adhered a lot more quicker than the liquid glue.

The leaves are from the Bird Punch.
