How to Make Your Own Pattern Paper

By | January 8, 2014

Ever have your heart set on a certain color and want to use pattern paper but don’t have one in a matching or coordinating color?  Make your own – it’s that easy!

I wanted to use Wisteria Wonder as my card for this card but I didn’t have matching designer series paper for the background.  I stamped the floral image from the Everything Eleanor Stamp Set  with Wisteria Wonder Ink randomly on a sheet of Whisper White Card Stock (4 1/2″ x 5 3/8″).   I love this set with it’s  delicate floral embellishments, frames, and flourishes– it’s the perfect mix for your projects with vintage flair.

aThanks-a-Million-3I used the Spiral Flower Bigz die to make the flower using Wisteria Wonder Card Stock.  Since I wanted to make it a little smaller, I cut about a 1/4 inch off the bottom of the flower before I rolled it and snipped off about 1/3 of the length (the larger end).  The flower is not as large nor as tall.  The leaves were die cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and then embossed with the Baroque Beautiful Embossing Folder  The yellow center  is a scrap of Crushed Curry Card Stock (1/2″ w x 2″).  Since I don’t have our new fabulous Fringe Scissors yet, I snipped little strips along the bottom edge of the card stock with our Paper Snips.

The sentiment is from Million & One stamp Set and was stamped with Wisteria Wonder Ink on the Tea Lace Paper Doily.
