Ho Ho Ho! A Fluffy Santa Hat Card You’ll Want to Touch

Hi Crafty Friends
Flash sale starts Wednesday, 21 October. Check out the dies here
Isn’t this Santa hat just the cutest? That real fluffy trim and squishy pom-pom make me smile every time I pick it up! A cozy red-and-green plaid sets the scene, and the embossed arch and simple “Ho Ho Ho” banner tie it all together. Quick, fun, and full of holiday cheer, this one is sure to brighten someone’s mailbox!

How to Make This Card
Start with a Basic Beige card base cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. Next, cut a Mossy Meadow layer at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and a piece of the gorgeous A Little Christmas DSP at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere the DSP to the Mossy Meadow, then attach that layer to the front of your card base.

For the focal point, die cut a large arch from Mossy Meadow and a slightly smaller stitched arch from Basic Beige using the Everyday Arches dies. Run the Basic Beige arch through the Vine & Stone 3D embossing folder for that beautiful texture, then layer it onto the Mossy Meadow arch.

Now for the fun part, the Santa hat! Stamp the hat from the Santa’s Hat Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic Beige. Stamp the solid color (Cherry Cobbler Ink) and fussy cut the hat with Detail Scissors and adhere it to the top of the embossed arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add fluffy trim (cotton balls) along the bottom edge of the hat and a little ball of fluff for the pom-pom. Don’t be shy, the fluffier the better!

Stamp “Ho Ho Ho” from using the Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic Beige and die cut it with a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. Cut a second banner from Cherry Cobbler, tuck it just behind the sentiment so it peeks out on the left, and adhere both below the hat. Pop the finished arch onto the center of your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and you’re ready to spread some holiday cheer!

Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic Beige (5 1/4″ X 4’0), add the strip of the DSP and adhere to the interior of the card. For the envelope flap, glue a strip of the same DSP (6″ x 2 1/4″) and trim to size.
