Fun Fold Card: Autumn Opulence Thanksgiving

Hi Crafty Friends!

There’s just something about this time of year that makes me want to reach for every warm, moody color in my stash, and this card is exactly that feeling brought to life. I built it around the Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper (DSP), and honestly, that patterned paper did most of the heavy lifting for me!

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base and gave it that fun stepped-up shape, circle from Spotlight on Nature Dies, which always adds a little extra dimension without much extra work. Then I layered in the Autumn Opulence DSP along the bottom, letting that gorgeous plaid pattern in Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Blackberry Bliss peek out beneath everything else.

For the focal point, I fussy cut the beautiful floral bouquet in Blackberry Bliss, Golden Glow, and touches of Cajun Craze and centered it on a circle die cut from Very Vanilla cardstock. I love how the edge detail on that circle adds a delicate, lacy border without competing with all that floral color. A few Golden Glow droplets tucked into the design gave it just the right amount of sparkle.

The sentiment banner reading “Happy Thanksgiving” was computer generated and sits right in the middle of the bouquet, layered on its own strip of Very Vanilla cardstock so it stays clean and easy to read against all that pattern and color.

I used the same plaid pattern for the envelope flap as used on the front for a more cohesive and polish look.

This one came together so easily once I had that DSP in front of me — sometimes the paper really does design the card for you!
