If you’re looking for a paper that makes your projects feel soft, dreamy, and effortlessly beautiful, the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper is just what you need! I love how the delicate designs in soft pinks, yellows, blues, and greens work together so beautifully. With stripes, polka dots, and florals all in the same collection, layering paper accents is not only easy — it’s so much fun!
This birthday card is one of my favorites I’ve put together lately! The base is a soft, Very Vanilla cardstock run through an embossing folder for a beautiful leather-like texture that gives the whole card such a rich, dimensional feel. I layered it over a mossy green mat, and then a blush pink card base peeks out just slightly around the edges — that subtle color combination is just so elegant and understated.
The focal design is built around a cluster of circles in varying sizes, and I love how they overlap and create movement across the card front. The larger circle is cut from a gorgeous the Designer Series Paper in that same Petal Pink tone, and it features the most delicate die-cut lacy edge. The second large circle is in a Mossy Meadow pattern from the same DSP with a beautiful radial texture that adds so much visual interest. A smaller coordinating circle nestled in the upper right pulls the whole cluster together, and a few little jewel embellishments scattered across the design add just the right finishing touch.
The star of the show, though, is the floral cluster that spills right over the top of those circles — clusters of white blossoms with soft yellow centers, pink buds, and rich green leaves that look like they’re blooming right off the card. I stamped and fussy cut those beauties and tucked them in so they cascade across the design so naturally. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is stamped on a clean, crisp banner strip and popped right in the middle of all that floral goodness — it’s the perfect balance of soft and sophisticated!
The inside is clean and simple — a Very Vanilla panel with a blush pink mat and a sweet little floral circle accent tucked in the lower right corner. And I couldn’t let that envelope go plain! The flap is decorated with a curved strip of the same Designer Series Paper from the card front, so the whole presentation feels beautifully coordinated from the outside in!
