DIY: Embossed Valentine’s Day Card with Layered Gorgeous Grape & Flirty Flamingo Hearts

By | February 9, 2026

Hi Crafts Friends!

What is going at Stampin’ up! is at the end of this post.

This Valentine’s Day card features layered hearts in beautiful Gorgeous Grape and Flirty Flamingo tones, all embossed with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder. I die-cut the hearts using the Endless Love Dies and added the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment across purple cardstock strips for a bold, dimensional look. The sparkly purple background and matching envelope tie everything together perfectly!

Love Notes Mix & Match

Here’s How I Made This Card:

I started by cutting Basic White Thick cardstock to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and folding it in half with my bone folder to create a sharp, crisp crease for the card base. Next, I cut Gorgeous Grape cardstock to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and adhered it to the base card. For the next layer, I cut Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Series Paper (DSP) and attached it to the card front.

I die-cut two hearts using the Endless Love Dies—one from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and one from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Then I die-cut the most detailed heart design from Highland Heather cardstock. I ran the two solid hearts through my die-cutting machine with the new Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder to add beautiful texture, then attached them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra dimension.

I layered the detailed Highland Heather die-cut heart on top of the two embossed hearts using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the sentiment, I fussy-cut a greeting directly from one of the panels in the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP. Finally, I added Purple Fine Shimmer Gems for a touch of sparkle and shine!

I cut Gorgeous Grape cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and adhered it inside the card. On Basic White cardstock, I die-cut an image from the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP using the Stylish Shapes Dies, then attached it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the envelope flap, I used the same Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Series Paper pattern as the card front to create a cohesive look. I trimmed it to size with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the flap.
