Hi Craft Friends!
I’m so excited to share one of my favorite papers for Valentine’s Day cards and tags! The Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Mix & Match Designer Series Paper makes creating beautiful projects incredibly easy. What I love most is the mix of full-sheet patterns and cut-apart designs—I can simply trim and adhere them to my card fronts, or cut and layer them for sweet accents. It’s perfect when I want gorgeous results without spending hours in my craft room!
This card is so simple to create, you’ll have it finished in no time!
I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″, then folded it in half using a Bone Folder to create a crisp crease for my card base. For the next layer, I cut Real Red Cardstock to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and adhered it to the card front. The top layer features a beautiful panel from the Love Notes Mix & Match paper, trimmed down to 5 1/4″ x 4″ – and the best part is the roses and greenery are already printed on it!
For the focal point, I stamped “Love” from the Endless Love Stamp Set onto a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock (3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″), then cut it out using the coordinating die from the Traditionals Labels Dies. I added three small hearts cut from the Endless Love Dies just beneath the sentiment, then attached the entire label to the top center of the front panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra dimension.
After adhering the top decorative panel to the base card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I finished off the design by adding three more small hearts (cut from the same die) to the bottom right corner of the card front.
Simple, elegant, and perfect for Valentine’s Day!
For the inside of the card, I added a layer of Real Red Cardstock cut to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and attached to the inside. Before attaching the Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″), I adhered a strip of the same pattern as the front of the card to the bottom.
For the envelope, I die cut a heart from the Endless Love Dies and attached to the envelope flap with Mulitipurpose Liquid Glue.
