Hi Crafty Friends!

I hope you’re staying safe and warm if you’re in the path of that winter storm! It sounds like a big one. Perfect weather for cozying up in the craft room with some hot cocoa and card-making projects, right? Are you working on Valentine’s cards to stay productive while the weather keeps you indoors?

Don’t Forget!

Made with Love DSP

I’m excited to share this sweet Valentine card with you today! This simple design features layered hearts with beautiful textured patterns that add depth without being complicated. The classic red and white color scheme keeps it timeless, while the XO sentiment adds the perfect touch of love. Let me show you how easy it is to create!

To make this card, I started with Real Red Cardstock (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″) and folded it in half using a Bone Folder for a sharp crease. I embossed my Layer #1 Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″) with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder and attached it to the front of the card.

Next, I die cut two hearts using Made with Love Designer Series Paper with the coordinating Endless Love Dies. I then die cut another heart from Real Red Cardstock with the coordinating die and embossed it with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. I attached all three hearts with Stampin’ Dimensionals (see picture for placement).

To finish off the front of the card, I die cut a small heart using the Made with Love Designer Series Paper and coordinating die from the Endless Love Dies. I die cut the tiny hearts with Real Red Cardstock and coordinating dies, then die cut the XXO with Real Red Cardstock and coordinating dies.

For the inside of the card, I added Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″) and a small strip of the Made with Love Designer Series Paper. I also adhered the same Designer Series Paper (6″ x 2 1/4″) to the envelope flap for a cohesive look.
