Post Card

Texts are so easy to send. Next time, why not send a handmade postcard? It’s so much cuter! Post CardI cased this from the annual catalog (page 204) using the Post Card Clear Mount Stamp Set.  What I thought was going to be a quick and easy fix turned out to be 2 hours!  Could not get the friend and No 1 to line up properly inside the frame.  But I liked the way it came out and so worth it!

Post CardHere’s what I did:

  1. Base card is Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock
  2. Inked up the image using the Midnight Muse Classic Stampin’ Pad and stamped it onto  Smokey Slate Card Stock.  I stamped it onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of card stock and then cut it down to 1/8″ around the border.
  3. Added the Paper Lacy Doily.
  4. Stamped frame in Garden green from the  Postage Collection Stamp Set onto Whisper White Card Stock.  Added the friend from the Postage College in Coral Calypso and No. 1 in Midnight Muse.
  5. Stamped small images:  Priceless was stamped with Coral Calypso; Balloon was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe
  6. Punch out the frame using the Postage Stamp Punch and cut out the other small images using paper snips – I love these scissors; they are sharp and cut so quickly and easily around the tiny corners.
  7. Added the images to the paper doily (see picture for placement)
  8. Added the Whisper White Baker’s shown.
  9. Smokey Slate Post Card measures 5 1/8″ x 3 5/8″ so I cut the base card (Crisp Cantaloupe) to 5 3/8″ x 3 6/8″ so that it would look like in the card in the catalog.
