Finding Peace in Nature: A Bamboo-Inspired Sympathy Card

By | November 18, 2025

Hi Craft Friends!

This beautiful sympathy card using the retired Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set features tall, elegant bamboo stalks stamped in soft green ink that create such a peaceful, serene feeling. The bamboo images have lovely depth with some darker green stalks and softer, more muted leaves that give the design a natural, layered look.

Card Measurements:

  • Base Card: Basic Thick White Cardstock (11″ x 4 1/4″)
  • Layer #1: Basic White cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4 1/4″)
  • Layer #2: Gold Foil Sheet (4 1/8″ x 3 3/4″)
  • Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock (4″ x 3 3/4″)
  • Inside of Card: Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4 x 4″)

Begin with Basic White Cardstock and fold it in half using a Bone Folder to create a sharp crease. On Layer #1, stamp the bamboo images in Mossy Meadow as shown in the picture. On Layer #3, stamp the bamboo images again, ensuring they align with the images on Layer #1. Next, stamp the small stem and leaves with Mossy Meadow, then stamp again without reinking to create a softer, second-generation image. Add the sentiment using Mossy Meadow ink.

Attach Layer #2 to Layer #3 using liquid glue, then adhere this combined piece to Layer #1 following the placement shown in the card photo. Add the gold embellishments as displayed in the picture.

For the inside of the card, stamp the small bamboo image once with Mossy Meadow ink, then stamp again without reinking for a softer impression. Use this same technique on the front of the envelope to create a coordinated look.
