Fresh & Natural Friendship Card: Creating with Stampin’ Up!’s Mixed Florals Dies and Embossed Backgrounds

By | May 23, 2025

Hello my Stampin’ Friends!

Hope you have a wonderful three day weekend. As for us, it’s going to be raining all weekend but that’s okay because it’s a good excuse to stamp, stamp, and stamp!🎴📇

This charming friendship card showcases a delightful wildflower bouquet from the Mixed Florals Bundle, featuring cheerful coneflowers and delicate sprigs colored in a fresh palette of Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat. The focal flowers display beautiful Wild Wheat petals with bright yellow centers, while tiny clustered blooms in matching Wild Wheat add texture and movement to the arrangement. Old Olive leaves provide the perfect natural complement to the floral elements. The bouquet is tied together with Very Vanilla twine, creating a rustic, hand-picked garden feel.

The background features Basic Beige cardstock that has been embossed with an intricate swirling pattern, from the Country Lace 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP), adding subtle texture without competing with the colorful florals. A “dear friend” sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a small die-cut label with decorative stitching, positioned perfectly within the floral arrangement. Several Pretty Peacock rhinestone embellishments are scattered across the design, echoing the blue tones in the flowers and adding gentle sparkle to catch the light.

The card is constructed with Pretty Peacock cardstock matting that frames the DSP panel beautifully. Die-cut wheat stalks in Basic Beige Cardstock extend beyond the main panel on the left side, creating visual interest and dimension. The combination of Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat, and Old Olive creates a natural, garden-inspired color story perfect for expressing friendship and appreciation.

The inside of the card maintains the elegant simplicity of the design with a Basic Beige panel bordered by Pretty Peacock matting. A delicate leafy branch from the Mixed Florals stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink in the lower portion, providing a subtle botanical accent that coordinates with the front design. The clean layout leaves plenty of white space for a personal message while maintaining the card’s cohesive natural theme. The coordinating envelope continues the design theme, making this a cohesive and thoughtfully crafted greeting.
