Elegant Lavender Mother’s Day Card: Creating with Stampin’ Up!’s Perennial Designer Series Paper

By | April 30, 2025

Hello my Stampin’ Friends

Today’s card is for my daughter, Stephanie, who loves purple and butterflies. 💜🦋 I’m thrilled that the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set and Dies, along with the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, are all carrying over to the new catalog. WOOT WOOT! 🎉🥳

Spotlight on Nature Rachel Brumley

This card showcases a beautiful floral design featuring the rich hues of Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Shaded Spruce. The card’s background layer uses patterned Designer Series Paper with delicate lavender sprigs against a Crumb Cake backdrop, creating a natural, earthy feel. A decorative Highland Heather circle frame, from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, with intricate cutout details surrounds the focal point, adding elegant dimension to the design.

At the center, stamped purple flowers in Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia are accompanied by Shaded Spruce leaves on a crisp Whisper White circle. The floral image is colored with Stampin’ Blends markers to create subtle shading and dimension. Several rhinestone embellishments, from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins, are scattered around the flowers, adding a touch of sparkle. A Whisper White banner with “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment, from the Celebrating You Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink rests across the bottom of the circular frame.

The layered design includes a Highland Heather card base with Shaded Spruce matting that perfectly frames the lavender-patterned Designer Series Paper. This card’s color palette of Highland Heather, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, and Basic White creates a harmonious, spring-inspired design perfect for celebrating mothers.

The inside of the card features the same Designer Series Paper I used on the front, bordered with Shaded Spruce cardstock. I stamped a butterfly in the decorative circle and colored it using Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. For a cohesive presentation, I added the same lavender sprig pattern to the envelope flap. I used the Envelope Dies to cut the flap, giving it additional dimension.
