Hello my Stampin’ Friends!
The weekend flew by with special moments spent with my family. My daughter Deena and granddaughter Sydney came from California for a baby shower celebrating my other granddaughter’s upcoming little one. We bonded over plenty of shopping trips before and after the celebration, which left me happily exhausted! Having Deena and Sydney here for four wonderful days was such a blessing. Tired but grateful mom and grandma!
Want to create this lovely friendship card? Here’s how to make it step by step.
Start with a Petal Pink card base and layer it with Basic White cardstock. Use the striped patter paper from the Mixed Media Floral Designer Series Paper. The texture from the new Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder adds a beautiful dimensional effect to your base layer.
For the focal point, stamp and color your flowers – two Petal Pink coneflowers and Flirty Flamingo baby’s breath stems. Use Stampin’ Blends to add soft shading to the Petal Pink petals, Granny Apple Green leaves, and delicate Flirty Flamingo blooms. Cut using the coordinating die from the Mix Florals Dies and arrange them on a white stitched circle die-cut, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, that has some subtle script stamping from the Elements of Text Stamp Set in the background.
Complete your card by adding a Basic White banner, from the Stylish Shape Dies with the sentiment “FOR A great FRIEND”, the the Mixed Labels Bundle, stamped in Tuxedo Black ink. Tie a Petal Pink bow at the base of your flower arrangement to finish it off. Lastly, add 3 small dots from the Low-Profile Dots.
On the left, the inside of the card has vertical stripes along the bottom edge from the same DSP as used in the front of the card. While on the right, the same DSP is added to the envelope flap to create a more cohesive look.
All these elements come together to create a heartfelt handmade card perfect for showing appreciation to a special friend.
