Have you seen this stamp set in the Mini Catalog (Sep – Dec)? It is soooo cute, especially the one with the little girl writing to Santa. That’s going to be my next card!
First, I gathered my supplies:
- Real Red Cardstock for the base card and for the layer beneath the front panel.
- Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper for the background.
- I then stamped the adorable character in Tuxedo Black and colored in the image with the following Stampin’ Blends. Pecan Pie for the hair and cookies; Petal Pink for the skin; Red Red for the small heart on her chest, Smoky Slate for her shoes and Real Red/Garden Green for her pants.
- I die cut the white panel using the Nested Essential Dies.
Next, I cut the patterned paper slightly smaller than my card base, rounded the corners to match the front panel and adhered it with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I mounted the white stamped panel on a slightly larger Real Red mat to create a border with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attached three small red rhinestones around the image for sparkle. I tied a sheer Real Red ribbon into a bow and adhered it at the bottom of the white panel.
Finally, I assembled everything onto the red card base, making sure all layers were straight and secure.
For the inside of the card, I fussy cut 3 presents from the DSP and attach to the lower left side of the Basic White Layer. I stamped the greeting with Real Red Ink and I created a coordinating envelope by adhering a matching strip of the gift wrap pattern along the bottom.
