This morning while we were having coffee out on the deck, David started swatting at a wasp. He accidently hit our ceramic parrot we bought when were in Cancun about 20 years ago.
Needless to say, he is looking on the internet for another parrot 🙂 I wanted to make a card to commemorate this day and starting looking around the internet for a digital parrot image. Then I remembered I had the Christmas Cardinal in digital format and decided to use that. It’s not a parrot but it’s a “feathered friend”!
The image was printed on Very Vanilla Card Stock using the My Digital Studio. I then colored it with a blender pen and the Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad for the bird and Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad for the leaves. The beak and feet are colored with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker.
I used the Labels Collections Framelits to die cut the bird and the front of the card. I attached it to the inside of the card so that you could see it when the front flap was closed.
I used the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper for the front of the card. I love, love this DSP – especially with either Cherry Cobbler or Real Red.
