Good Morning Crafters:
I took my dog, Chloe, out for a walk this morning and fall is definitely in the air. I love walking when it’s so nice and quite – best time of the day!
For today’s card, I selected the Apple Harvest Bundle. The dies are no longer available but the stamp set can be found on page 54 of the July-December Mini Catalog. I hope they both make it to the annual catalog.
This card was inspired by Cheri’s Cards. I changed several things to make it mine but I did try to follow her watercolor technique. I used Shimmer Paper for watercoloring for the 1st time. I’m on the fence whether I like this as well as the Watercolor Paper. We’ll see.
The apple was stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink because I was trying for the no line watercoloring. I then lightly applied Parakeet Party Ink all over the apple several times. I used Just Jade Ink on the top and sides of the apple.
I did the same thing with the leaves except I added the additional color of Old Olive Ink. The stem/branch was colored in using Soft Suede Ink. The background was embossed using the Old World 3D Embossing Folder and splattered with the Party Parakeet Stampin’ Write Marker. The scallop strip was created by one of the dies from the Apple Blossom Dies. The greeting is from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set and die cut with the greeting die from the Apple Blossoms Dies. I absolutely love this sentiment die!!!❤️ To finish the card, I added small pearls from the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels Embellishment.
