I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We had a great one that was so much different from last year’s Thanksgiving. I made personalized napkin holders using the Detailed Pumpkins Dies (see below). My favorite item from the dinner was coconut pie – yes, you heard that right! My son-in-law is a former chef and he makes the most amazing and delicious pies. For today’s card I’m using the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set and paired it with the retired Woodland Embossing Folder. This set lets you use these nature’s beautiful images to create a quiet scene for the perfect masculine card.
What I did:
- Using a brayer, roll Misty Moonlight Ink lightly over the top of the embossing folder.
- After cleaning off brayer, use Crumb Cake Ink to add a light color through the middle of the folder.
- For the bottom portion, use the brayer to add Soft Suede Ink.
- Lay Basic White Cardstock gently between the embossing folder and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
- Attach to base card (Misty Moonlight Cardstock).
- Stamp the deer image with Early Espresso Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. With a Blender Pen, lightly color in the deer by pulling color from the stamped image.
- Die cut the deer with the retired Layered Ovals Die.
- Die cut Misty Moonlight Cardstock with a coordinating scallop oval die. Adhere to Basic White Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Using any ribbon (in this case, I used #152468), run the ribbon across the bottom portion of the card front.
- Attach to base card (Misty Moonlight Cardstock) with liquid glue.
- Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the deer oval panel and adhere to the front of the card.
I left the sentiment off until I decide whom I’m going to send this card to. The inside of the card will also be added when I decide on the occasion.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!
