Nature’s Harvest

By | September 5, 2021

We all hate to make these type of cards but especially if it’s for a member of your family. This one is for my sister and the family of Michael Anthony Martinez who passed away last month. He was the most delightful, funny, awesome, loyal and caring nephew a person could ask for. He was taken much too soon. RIP Mikey💕

The stamp set I chose for this card is the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set. I used the sentiment from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.

What I did:

  1. Die cut an oval using the larges oval from the retired Layering Ovals Dies. Set aside the oval and use the negative for a template. Attach the template to the front of the Basic White Cardstock. Lightly sponge Crumb Cake Ink with a Blending Brush.
  2. Stamp the floral image with Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the center of the sponged oval. Add the sentiment using the Blackberry Bliss Ink.
  3. Emboss the front panel with the retired 3D Subtle Embossing Folder
  4. Attach Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to base card (Basic White Thick Cardstock) with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue.
  5. Adhere front panel to front of card using the liquid glue.
  6. Embellish with our Basic Jewels, Pearls

Card Measurements:

  1. Base card: Basic White Thick Cardstock (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″). Fold in half with a Bone Folder for a sharp crease.
  2. Next layer: Blackberry Bliss Cardstock (5 3/8″ x 4 1/8)
  3. Front panel: Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″)
