Inspired by impasto paintings, the floral images in the Fine Art Suite can be used to create a variety of different cards. Add one of the sentiments and you’ve taken your card-making skills to a whole new level.
For today’s post, I used the Art Gallery Bundle for my card. I couldn’t decide on a sentiment so I left that part blank. I can add it later.
I was inspired by a card on page 77 of the 2021 Mini Catalog. I did change things up a little bit to make it my own.
To create the background, I used a retired stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I sponged Highland Heather Ink onto the right side of the base card (Purple Posy Cardstock) with our new Blending Brushes. Have you tried these. it makes sponging so easy and blends the colors beautifully.
The set is a two-step stampin’ set – it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension. I first stamped the floral image in Highland Heather Ink and then Gorgeous Grape Ink with the smaller image. The leaves were inked up with Old Olive Ink. All 3 sets were die cut using the coordinating die from the Floral Gallery Dies.
