Simply Sketched – sneak peek

By | May 25, 2013

Hi Stampin' Friends

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  For me, it's so nice to be home and relaxing.  It was a whirlwind 2 1/2 weeks in California and I am enjoying the peace and quiet back home.

Today's card features the Hostess Stamp Set called Simply Sketched.  I'm also using the new Ginger Garden Designer Series Paper for the background.

I love the blue and yellow combination – it just screams Spring!

RosesThe ladies will be making this card at the Big Shot class on Wednesday, 29 May 2013.  I have one opening left if you live in the Bella Vista, AR area and would like to attend.  Just let me know and I'll send you all the information.

They will learn how to make the roses shown on the card using a die cut (non-SU).  I was going to add a ruffled bow right under the roses on the left but I didn't want to make it too complicated or difficult because two of the ladies are beginners and I would not want to scare them away (LOL).

The sentiment is from the hostess stamp set, Simply Sketched, and is available with a qualifying order.  Though it is not very clear in the picture, I put the bottom strip of DSP through the Big Shot using the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and then die cut using the Large Scallops Edgelits Die.
