Don’t forget the Love Bandit

By | January 12, 2011

These cute little guys are from last year's Valentine  but I kept them because they are so cute especially the raccon. They were feeling neglected so I dusted them off and used them for today's card.   Though the stamp set Love Bandit is retired, it is now available in digital format under #124490 Love Bandit Stamp Brush Set – Digital Download.

Before I go into today's card, I have to tell you what my granddaughter Rachel said to me.  We were getting off the phone and always end with "I Love You", no "I Love you More" and so on.  But this time, after I said – "No, I love you more", she replied "I love you so much my heart skipped a beat!".  And she is only four year old!  Thanks for listening to a sentiment old grandmother!

Now for today's post.  I stamped the images with Basic Black Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and punched out with the 1 1/4" Square Punch.  I colored the hearts with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.  I then layered them with Real Red Card Stock punched out with the  1 3/8" Square Punch.  To give it a 3D effect, I adhered them to the Basic Gray Card Stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The pattern paper is the Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini.  That was layered onto Basic Gray Card Stock.  The base card is Real Red Card Stock.  I finished the card with Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon for the perfect accent.
