Lovely as a tree

By | November 26, 2012

Hi Stampin' Friends

A moment of silence for the Hostess Ding Dong!   I bought a box about a week before I heard the news that the company was closing down and this is the last one from that box.  As you may have heard, the company closed down amid continued financial difficulties.  No more Ding Dongs!

This was one of my favorite snacks to eat with my 3:00 pm coffee break.  I have heard of them selling on Amazon from $39.00 to $99.00 per box but I am not willing to pay that price no matter how much I love them!

For today's card, I used the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Brush Set.  With a variety of trees to choose from, the Lovely As a Tree set offers so many options. Stamp a solitary tree or stamp an image multiple times to create your own forest

The sentiment is from Heard From The Heart Stamp Brush Set.  Nothing beats a kind word spoken from the heart. With the sentiments in this brush set, you can send your sincere wishes and love to someone special.

Trees

The image was printed out in Midnight Muse and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Glue was added to the trees and the ground underneath the trees.

It was layered over Midnight Muse card Stock, then Silver Glimmer Paper.  The base card is Midnight Muse.  It's quite striking in real life – wish you could see it.

Beautiful card! The glitter paper, reflection, and glitter on the image are all stunning together.

Enjoy your 3:00 PM snack. So sad that another company goes under.
